Hi Chez, we are sorry to hear you had bleeding after your wax. We have tried to contract you to offer our advice but unable to contac. Yes, bleeding can happen after a wax. Each hair follicle is connected to a blood vessel so it is perfectly normal for this to happen. It is more common with people that have coarse hair (ie male clients) or have sensitivity. It is also more common with clients that don't have regular waxing. We recommend a 4-5 week schedule with your waxing and also not shaving in between. Another tip is to gently exfoliate before your wax to loosen the hairs from the follicle so the wax grabs more easily. Please contact us at any time, we would be happy to advise you further.

Hi The lady performing the waxing was good and honest Back and chest was good... it was her first time doing a chest - she was honest about it.. But to have this bruising on my arm is not right ! This is the second time this has happened

First time getting a peel here. I thought the experience would be more indulgent. The peel itself Took less than 2 mins, and then I was left with a sheet mask on for 10mins. Maybe a massage in the 10 minutes? I asked for advice on all the peels but didn’t feel like I came out knowing anymore about them compared to when I went in!

Hi Lauren, I am sorry you were disappointed with your first peel treatment. At Bella's we follow a strict protocol with all our peel treatments. In your case we used a Jessners Peel which is a cocktail of lactic, salicylic and citric acid which is perfect for treating dull, wrinkled, sensitive and dark skin types as well as aging, superficial scarring and light pigmentation. This peel is ideal before a special event and especially good for clients like yourself who have never experienced a dermal peel before. Our professional peel's are not a relaxing treatment as they are very active. The peel is applied and then monitored closely to ensure it doesn't overreact on the skin. As you were experiencing your very first peel here at Bella's it was crucial that your skin be monitored very closely. In your case as your skin came up with a lot of erythema quite quickly, the peel was removed after 2 minutes and a hydrating mineral and hyaluronic acid mask applied to soothe and replenish the skin. Our protocol with our chemical peels excludes any type of massage as it is not appropriate in this treatment, so I am sorry if you were expecting something more indulgent. All of our facial and body treatments do include massage however if you prefer a more relaxing treatment. If you would like more information on the different peel types which would be appropriate for your skin concerns then please feel free to book in for a complimentary 30 minute consultation and we would be happy to go through these in more detail and put together a treatment and home care plan for you. This is the second waxing appointment in a row after which I have left the salon with full patches of hair still remaining on my legs. I unfortunately don’t realise after I get home. The last time this happened, I returned to get it fixed but having the same thing happen twice in a row now I think I will have to start going to a different salon. I have had some very good waxes here previously by the more experienced staff members but unfortunately not every experience is the same.
