I am very happy to let the Convict Cutters apprentices practice on my hair as they are always supervised. I hope my legs stand up over the next ? months-years, as the stairs could become a problem. There are always a host of compliments following a trip to the salon and I expect a lot of Ohs and Ahs tomorrow when they see Leah's style cut.

I have had nothing but excellent service at Convict Cutters and my stylist (Claire) has always done exactly what I have asked. I would rate a little below excellent for value for money, simply because it's one of the more expensive salons in Launceston, however you get what you pay for. The price is the only reason I would be less likely to refer Convict Cutters to some people as they wouldn't spend the money. I've had a number of bad hair cuts elsewhere and I don't mind paying more to have it cut properly, especially as I already save money by not dying my hair. Lost one star for "how were you treated" because I had to wait a little longer than usual (5-10 minutes as opposed to normally going in straight away). That's probably nit picking though ;)

I called into a Convict Cutters from the street as the appointment I had with Neville of Chic Hair could not be fulfilled - have found out he is seriously ill and will not return to work. Even though Convict Cutters were extremely busy, they welcomed me and I did not have to wait long at all for hair cut. Jessica did a great job and I will return to her for future hair cuts. Very happy and pleasant team of young hairdressers. Highly recommended. PS am sure all who know Neville are thinking about him at this time
