For me going to the hairdresser is a time of rest and relaxation so to be there with a screaming little boy objecting to getting his hair cut and the hairdresser and his father talking so loud to him, negotiating with a child who was clearly in charge of the whole interaction made me wonder why I wasn’t paying the price I would pay at Just Cuts. I am not sure how to tesolve the tension between different clients needs but I would ask that thought be given to the environment you are creating. Maybe have kid friendly appointment times and adult clients be made aware that they might be booking appointment times when kids might be there making the level of distribution I experienced so I could have had the choice to put myself into that environment or not. I pay a premium to come to your salon because I want a high quality service and part of that is the quiet, relaxing environment. Today I paid that premium, got a great service but had a terrible experience for 1/4 of my time there until they left.

I've been attending the salon for over a year now and generally have been really happy with the service. Unfortunately on this occassion the hair colour service I received was as expected. Aliah coloured and cut my hair. My colour did not turn out right and Aliah did help to correct with additional toner, however when I got home I noticed other parts of the colour which was not right also, the highlights along the front of the face were really thick and too light compared to the rest of my hair. The correction only applied to the top layer so when I pull my hair back or change the part, the colour is all wrong. There was still a lot if brassiness left in other parts too. My hair was also breaking off in the Blond parts at the front

A simple “How are you, how was your day” would have created a more connected experience. The hairdresser did not speak with me at all except when she instructed me to go to the basin or was giving me advice about my hair. I was at the basin and had my eyes closed and heard my hairdresser whispering to someone else and then proceeded to speak loudly and start laughing. I felt quite uncomfortable about this. The ambience of the place was very calming however the staff seemed cool and too aloof

My hairdresser was friendly enough, however I walked away really disappointed in the quality of service received. The colour was really not what I asked for - I kept being reassured it would lighten up once dry but unfortunately it hardly even looked like I got colour through my ends. I also asked for it to be curled for an event that night and when I got home 10mins later my hair was practically straight. I just felt so disappointed with the service. My hair is difficult to work with but I'd really hoped the hairdresser would have still managed to find a way to manage my hair to at least stay in for the evening. I also had to ask several times for my tea... I think she just kept forgetting. Staff were friendly enough but I really did not walk away thinking "that was $210 well spent". In fact none of my friends could even notice a difference I am now asking myself why I bothered to get it coloured at all! Such a shame as I was really hoping to find a good local hairdresser to start visiting regularly. Sent from my iPhone
