Established in Manly for over 30 years. The Mane Space hair lounge, formally known as Ebony Hairdressers, gurantees to provide the upmost quality hairdressing services to our clients.

A proper short head massage would be nice. I’ve been coming for 12 months and it’s disappointing this doesn’t seem to be part of the service like in other salons

Floor space is limited which lends to a cluttered environment - but staff, professionalism and service are exceptional! Will miss Kim while she is away for her pregnancy leave - wish her a well earned rest(?) before baby's arrival. Look forward to her return. Meantime, Sue who took me in at moment's notice did an excellent job with my 'challenged hair', making it look thicker than it actually is with a lovely cut to boot!

The salon is definitely not as flashy or customer-oriented as some of the others around. That is okay but for the same price, I expected the same treatment as I used to get at my old salon (offered wine, water, tea + short massage, etc.) I also was a bit turned off when I was asked to take a seat and wait almost 20 minutes (I was on time) but when a returning customer came in, she was greeted with a warm "hello" and only had to wait about 5 minutes before she was taken to get her hair washed before me. Nothing major, but it is little things like that which make you decide to come back or not. In terms of the haircut itself, she did a lovely job! I asked for an opinion on a new style and was given excellent advice - this is the happiest I've been with a haircut in some time. My front pieces aren't cut evenly but I plan to go in later this week to have that fixed. She curled my hair so it would have been hard to tell on the day.

It is always good to receive constructive criticism as to how a client feels when sitting in our salon. Unfortunately in our industry our stylists occasionally run behind and our she would have wanted to have a thorough consultation before washing. Very rushed at the wash basin poor head wash by young junior no massage at all. Rough and rushed, water plashed in face clumsy.
