I'm disappointed to report that my experience was poor, rushed and resulting in a unsatifilatory result. I arrived 1 min before my scheduled appointment and was seated immediately. I then had to wait 7 minutes before my stylist was ready, and when she arrived she didn't appear to have much time to listen carefully to my needs and desired outcome. It seemed like she was annoyed that I had brought in pics and references of my what/how I like my hair to look like. I was specific about the lengths I desired and what techniques I prefer to be used, my stylist immediately began cutting my sides to what I could tell would become way too short. I re-iterated that I just want the sides tidied up and not too short, she seemed to suggest that she understood and continued cutting away. A few cuts in she was immediately distracted by other duties she needed to do, walking away from me without explaining anything just walking away to another part of the salon. My stylist came back and made 2-3 more cuts and then again needed to chat to some one else in the salon, she appeared to be unfocused and completely distracted by her other work that was running late. I felt I didn't get the full attention of my stylist and that she needed to rush through my hair to get to some other work that was more important. The girl doing my shampoo was the best part of the experience but I was disappointed by the lack of head massage 'ritutation' offered at other salons such as Luc Espace and Tribe Lifestyle. It all seemed so hurried, the 7 minute delay to my start needed to be made up somewhere I just wish it wasn't on my haircut and my experience. My stylist put little to no effort in developing a rapport with me and felt completely disconnected from delivering a good customer experience. I feel this will be the last time I visit Luxe as I got a haircut and experience that was worse than a kids hair cut at Just Cuts.

Hair stylist used scissors to scrape off the cuticle on my hair and claim it was cheap shampoo plastic residue (I only ever use the shampoo bought directly from luxe), it’s a marketing scam I know about from fellow hair stylist friends. I was also treated in a way that was a bit dumb, they were explaining washing techniques and practices I ‘probably’ do that damage my hair (which I explained I don’t). And after just a simple wash and cut (and new shampoo) it cost upwards of $370, not worth the value in my opinion.

I’m not sure if my hairdresser on the day was having a bad day or personal issue, but I thought she was not very pleasant. I have been with her for many years. My daughter has stopped coming to you as she finds the atmosphere not pleasant and she thinks the staff have some issues between them. I felt unhappy leaving yesterday, i hope this is confidential. If Rubin would like to call me I’m happy to discuss it with him, only him. Thank you.

This was an unusually poor experience for me. Normally staff at this salon wash and blowdry my hair well. This time however, the wash was fast and incomplete, and the blowdry fast and inadequate. I looked worse going out of the salon than coming in! My hair was flat and I felt as if the hairdresser was simply uninterested in doing a good job.
