I am ambivalent about the salon. The salon is definitely structured for a luxe feel and the hairdressers are pleasant. However they are definitely catered towards clients to a specific hair structure: straight hair. I think its important for a salon to move forward with the times and provide the hairdressers with training in order to provide proper hair cut and styling to those who have curly hair. Additionally, their instagram account only posts photos of straight hair that has been given a 'wave' with an instrument of heat. Multiple times on the occasion I was there, I was told by the hairdresser 'sorry I don't know how to style curly hair'. My only response was 'that's ok' out of politeness. However is this really ok? It would be great to see this salon progress toward being inclusive with people who have other hair types than straight.
