Please note that these ratings are for Shelly who washed my hair. Shelly was rude to me and then to a colleague in front of me. While washing my hair, she asked what shampoo and conditioner I'm using. When i informed her that i couldn't recall the brand but they were sulphate free from price attack, her response was extremely condescending and patronising. She told me their products were 'imitation' and 'cheap' even when i told her i had paid around $60 for them. Her tone was the most insulting and was all the difference between a respectful, polite dialogue and a offensive, know it all attitude. It left me feeling small. She then conditioned my hair and called out to someone i couldn't see to ask them to bring her trolley into the corner for her next client. No 'Please' was used. She became impatient when they didn't understand her request properly, scalded them telling them again to move it and when they still didn't understand clearly where she meant for it to go, she threw her arms out, hands palm up and scawled at her colleague in frustration (is she not aware that clients can see her behaviour in the ceiling mirror while their hair gets washed?) Then stormed off in the middle of my conditioning to grab the trolley and move it into the corner. I asked Shelly how long she had been hairdressing and was told that she is in her 2nd year of her apprenticeship. I was extremely troubled that she felt her behaviour towards another colleague was acceptable when she herself is still an apprentice and i would hope, would be more mindful of how to treat others as she herself is still a junior whorequires direction. Her tone and behaviour to her colleague was disgusting and the fact that she did so in front of clients is even worse. I have been a client at Luxe for years. Patrick is always a pleasure and does such a fabulous job on my long thick hair. I have come to trust him completely with my hair. My experience at Luxe is always friendly, warm and professional Everyone ALWAYS talks to the rest of the team kindly, with 'pleases' and 'thank yous' and general good manners so my experience and observation of Shelly had quite an impact as it was so out of place. I am giving this specific feedback so that she has an opportunity to learn from her customers perception of her attitude on the day. An apprentice in my opinion should behave with humility and respect, especially when they are learning themselves and should understand the vulnerability felt when being directed by others. Her customer service needs to improve to be at the standard that i have come to receive consistently at Luxe. I hope this feedback is helpful to Luxe and to Shelly. Regards, Irenne
