It starts inside. Sol Hair is a salon of the senses; a relaxing space offering a completely rejuvenating and energising experience that involves sight, sound, smell and touch from the moment you walk in the door. The space is private, earthy, ambient, welcoming and totally calm: think raw materials, hanging plants, lemongrass scents, happy vibes, and calming curated playlists. Here, the name of the game is relaxation, and of course, really great hair. This love of the environment extends outside too, with a strong focus on sustainability, recycling, minimal water usage, ethical practices and the use of organic products. Even from the salon basins, the Sol team are aiming to protect the environment in everything they do.


Sol Hair was created in 2018 by award-winning hairdresser Kristie Sibson, as a place of escape for both the body and the mind. After two years working in London for a leading salon, Kristie returned to Australia to continue her career as a hairdresser in Paddington. She has worked in some of Brisbane’s best salons, was selected as part of the Redken team for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week three years running, and has collected quite the client base and social media following along the way.

My first experience at Sol was incredibly amazing, Alissa was extremely professional and honest and I got a hair color nobody was able to get done before, creamy/gold and looks so healthy, loving it!!!! The whole Sol's team is amazing, thank you beautiful ladies.

Alyssa is the best stylist I have had in a really long time. She always gets it right. I always feel as though I have been at a friends place for a coffee and a chat and just happened to come away with amazing hair.

I was pleasantly surprised with the level of care, attention to detail and professionalism at Sol. Paisley did my hair and she is excellent! A lot of other salons make you feel rushed and the attention to detail can be lacking, but not at Sol. I will be a return customer and definitely recommend the salon to friends and family.
