Went for a g-string wax and only received a bikini wax. I usually go to Ella Baché at Brookside and they always offer to wax behind as well. I didn't feel comfortable to saying something in the moment as I didn't want to make the therapist uncomfortable. It would be great if there were similar treatment offerings across salons, or they at least advise customers that there is a difference.

Hiya I've visited other Ella Baché salons and had a great experience. My appointment today just didn't live up to the standard! I felt like the whole session was about me buying products. It was also under an hour, hence the value for money rating. My consultant didn't read my new client form prior to the treatment, so asked all the questions on there again, further reducing the time of the treatment. She treated me like I have no idea what to do with my skin and assumed I don't take care of it, rather than asking what I already do in my regime. Just a really disappointing experience.

I enjoyed the massage element of my treatment, however, when it came to the facial, I could have come home and scrubbed my face and applied a mask as that's all it felt like. The therapist didn't explain what she was doing for the facial nor did she explain what was going to be used on my face at the time (it was listed at checkout only), there was no skin consult prior, I am not a regular customer so details regarding my skin would not be up to date. Further, the therapist also left the room without saying that was what she was going to do and remained absent for the duration of the mask which was ~20 min. Historically, when I have had facials elsewhere, the therapist would spend time either massaging hands, head or feet while the mask was on to complete the experience. I have never had someone leave the room for that period of time. I understand ducking out intermittently for other reasons but I felt this was extended and not worth the $125.00. Also, it seems a bit of a safety breach as if I had an allergy or needed attention for any means I would have had to get up and find someone in the clinic.

Overall the salon environment was great and the service provided was bubbly and friendly - however the employee who completed my service was clearly ill - to the point where she had to stop and blow her nose on several occasions (none of those times did I hear her wash her hands before she continued with my facial, eye brow wax/tint and massage... therefore I felt extremely uncomfortable. Not to mention - because she had a blocked nose she had to breathe through her mouth and when you're within close proximity to someone and they are breathing all over you - makes it hard to enjoy the experience when all I could think about was whether or not what she had was contagious/what germs were being spread. At one point during the massage I'm about 95% sure that the employee's nose was running and dripped on my back (was definitely not massage oil). All in all, I'm not someone who really makes a fuss, and I understand that this employee was doing the right thing by showing up to work - however might I suggest that she/any other future employee who's sick refrain from completing services that are within close range of a persons face/ hands etc - and/or perhaps use gloves/wash hands more regularly. During my eyelash tint - the person also barely used any water to rinse the tint - just very mildly damp cotton pads which caused there to be a lot of tint left on my eyelashes and then to obviously start to sting and cause my eyelashes to clump together. When asking for more water on then to make it easier to wipe off - nothing was done. I was then thankfully given a tissue to wipe all the excess off which took me a while. Absolutely no conversation had around my skin type before conducting the facial either - no efforts to help me with issues I had listed on my chart (As I am a first time customer to this Ella Bache salon). Also provided a quick bit of feedback to the front desk who didn't seem to care. All in all, this has probably deterred me from coming back to this particular salon.

I’ve been there sometimes last years, and was loving the service. This year they changed something and the staffs, and the last 2 times I went there, the service was done by the half. I literally went out after doing the service, went to the pharmacy and bought a waxing kit to do this by myself after paying for a service that was not done correctly. For the second time.

I have had this facial before at other ella bache salons and really enjoyed it in the past as it helped my skin a lot. Today I barely had any product applied to my face as a result it was painful while Carly was massaging the little to none product she used into my face. I didn’t receive everything that is listed in the facial I paid for, as I’ve had it before I was expecting the same service as the other salons. I was really disappointed to not get the facial I was expecting and still pay the same amount. Not happy with this experience as I was really looking forward to treating myself as I feel like I just wasted my money.
