Starfas Hair Design was established in 1985 by Peter Starfas on Chapel St. In 1998 Peter opened a salon in Wheelers Hill Shopping Centre where he stayed until 2002. In 2010 Mel who took over the family business, opened Starfas Hair Design in the South Yarra Arcade, Toorak Rd. In May 2014 Starfas Hair Design relocated to Wheelers Hill Shopping Centre.

Mel has been hairdressing since 2005 and has had extensive in salon training and also participated in various cutting, colouring, styling and business courses and seminars throughout her years of hairdressing. She maintains this standard to keep up to date with the latest fashion trends and looks across the world. Mel has completed her Goldwell color passport which is recognised around the world and this evident in her creative work. Mel has also completed a range of Keune courses and is recognised in Australia as a Keune Master Colorist. 

Michelle joined STARFAS in 2020 and has over 27 years of experience. She has also completed numerous courses in Matrix and has extensive knowledge in Schwarzkopf. Michelle has completed several American Crew mens cutting courses and has great hair and product knowledge. She loves to be creative and keep up with all of the latest trends. Her passion is creative cutting and styling.

Starfas Hair Design is a Keune professional salon that also stocks BBCOS and Freelimix colours and retail products. 

Keune Australia is also commited and dedicated to raising money for its charity. The Keune Foundation. Ten cents of every tube of Keune tinta colour purchased in Australia id donated directly to the foundation.

Keune, BBCOS and Freelimix retail products re only found in professional hair salons.
