Hi Guys, I'm also in sales and service so I am a hard task master because I am a perfectionist at what I do in my business. The girl who washed my hair asked if I had been here before !! (that doesn't make me feel loved) She asked what product I would like - she should have asked would I like lemon the same as last time or something different. I was given a gossip magazine to read - your computer should tell you what I like to read - Current Vogue or House Magazines. When I went to get my hair washed, the magazine was taken away from my station. The principal and another staff member talked amongst themselves while the principal dried my hair !! (that doesn't make me feel loved) I interrupted them and asked if it was too much trouble for a cup of tea and a magazine !!! That lost a lot of points. If a customer doesn't want to yack yack yack to the hairdresser that doesn't mean she calls a staff member over to talk to! It was only that my blow wave looked good that I thought I will come back again. The principal went to a lot of trouble on my first visit to pull me away from another salon - that doesn't mean the service should slip once you have the customer on your data base. And once you do have the customer on your data base - make the most of your data base - how I like my tea; what magazines I like to read; what product I like. The overall feel of the salon is great. I had been to the beauty department upstairs the day before and the girl was lovely and very attentive. She did really well to up sell me on further treatments which I will do. Well done beauty department. :)
