Junior toned my hair without any senior checking it … my hair looks dull. $460 later I feel like I haven’t had my hair done. I also paid the extra for the anti -frizz treatment & my hair has never looked this limp & frizzy ends the morning after I’ve had my hair done.

Hi I’d just like to let you know I didn’t have a very good experience today. My hairdresser was very aggressive and I’ve never experienced painful foils until today. She pulled my hair so tight each time she did a foil and I had to let her know it was painful so she could be more gentle. The girl kept pushing my head down in a very aggressive way, and burnt my scalp when she dried it off. There was no head massage, she just quickly rinsed the conditioner through… I left feeling horrible so I won’t be coming back unfortunately. I’m also pregnant and was looking forward to a relaxing appointment which is definitely not what it was.

I have visited Head Studio 3 times for blonde balyage and showed them the picture of what I wanted but my hair still looks dark grey/yellow after a 3rd time of bleaching it. Nothing like bright blonde look I wanted. And I've already spent about $2100 to not get what I want. A bit disappointed. Plus hairdressers use very harsh brushes and it feels like I have less hair/that it was ripped out after they brushed it. Hair also feels damaged and unhealthy after the visit.

I was referred to Head Studio from a friend. I decided to give it a try and I unfortunately did not get the results I was looking for. The staff were friendly and conversational and the studio was a cool place, but my hair was not what I had asked for. I showed pictures and chatted with the stylist for a consultation beforehand and believed we were on the same page. I only get my hair done once a year, so I was looking for a lived in, grow-out-friendly, cool blonde highlight. What I got instead was a very obvious, not lived in (but straight line of highlights) that is very orange and not natural looking at all. While my hair was being styled, I noticed the orange streaks and asked the stylist, but she assured me that it was just the lighting. I do not live in the area and have not been able to return to see if they could rectify the situation.

I value feedback in my job whether it be positive or constructive and therefore happy to share my feedback on my recent experience and given you are requesting. - the foil process was pleasant. However after shampooing my hair at home from my visit the colour has thrown up yellow gold and hasn’t lifted enough. If I was to return I would be asking what volume is being applied. - the washing of my hair by apprentice staff was not very professional nor to standard. The apprentice barely scrubbed by head all over and lacked confidence on the task. In addition the whispering behind the basin is received as unprofessional. I think there is an opportunity for greater leadership and training / assessment on skills for apprentice staff. - the cut was good, however the amount of product put in after a nice blow dry as excessive and one of the products was to make my hair dirty. If I was to return I would be clearly stating that I do not like product in my hair especially if it’s purpose is to make it dirty. In contrast, it would be good if stylist remembered my preferences and or asked before proceeding. - In addition I was asked twice if I’d like a drink and did not receive a requested peppermint tea until the end of my appointment (5 mins before). Not a biggie as I could have tried to catch someones attention and follow up but it’s the attentiveness that ads to the overall experience.
