Good experience and good colour services. The only thing that lets Head Studio down is the lack of transparency with the prices. I booked a package with full head of foils, toner and blow dry for $269.95. After the consult, they suggested I add in the Metal Detox for an extra $50, and I still went ahead. Then I was asked If I wanted a treatment or hair mask that I was quoted $30 for, but they charged me $35. When I went to pay, they charged me another $45 for Zone Toner, but failed to mention that to me at the start. So all up, a $269.95 booking ended up costing $399.95. Probably won’t be coming back here again.

Didn't get offered anything to drink for first 2hrs of session, had to ask for some water. During consult, hairdresser nodded and agreed to everything I explained/asked for (including the pictures I showed her) but didn't offer any guidance or feedback so I just assumed it must be pretty straight forward. I specifically asked for more highlights through the ends of my hair and for the base of my hair to remain mostly natural (balayage). I purchased a promotion package for half head of foils, cut and blowdry. She seemed confused because there was also a full head of foils balayage package. She agreed I could use the half head of foils package for what we'd discussed. End product was not balayage at all, rather just a stock standard half head of foil highlights. Disappointed because the highlights are evenly distributed through my hair and I really wanted my base to stay natural. My hair is not bad or ruined, just not what I asked for in terms of colour. Next time I will know to be very specific and to ask questions to confirm my stylist is on the same page as me. Very happy with the cut and worth mentioning that previously I have had an amazing cut and an amazing colour, exactly how I've envisaged, with other stylists at Head Studio. I also find the regular promo deals good value for money.

Happy with overall colour and cut but very expensive compared to other salons with the same products and results Chairs upstairs were so uncomfortable to sit in long periods. As a young person even sitting in that chair whilst getting foils applied for over and hour then an additional hour waiting for them to set left my back extremely sore and even the day after feeling quite sore. Not an ergonomic set up at all for the period of time sitting. Wouldn’t return to this salon based on the above feedback.

Kasey did a great job with the colour and I would recommend her. When I left I was happy with the cut but without any GHD skills I look like I took some scissors to the local daycare centre and told them to have some fun. Marco was lovely and tried to teach me how to curl my hair btw, but the cut is way to choppy and I’m going to another hairdresser tomorrow to get it fixed.

I always end up spending more than expected. Today I was given a travel pack and led to believe it was a sample then it was actually added on to my bill, I was also charged for something I didn't ask for. Last visit I had my hair cut for literally 5 minutes and then paid $150. Not going back again although the colour I had done today was nice.
