I popped in for a quick trim, which is all my hair needed, and nearly two hours later and $136 later, I had recieved a cut, blowdry and treatment. Only a week earlier had my hair been treated using an Aveda product, so I knew my hair was in good shape. I did not appreciate the upselling of the treatment and I did not appreciate the extra charge of $15 for my "extra long" hair- the length of my hair was irrelevant for the trim I wanted off the ends. I didn't want a blowdry, but I paid for that and the extra $15 to recieve it. It was also strange by how many people I met with during my visit - one person at the counter, another who came by for a consultation, another who did my wash and treatment and finally the hairdresser who cut my hair. It was just confusing and I felt I was being passed on from person to another. The blowdry took the longest and I was asked what sort of blowdry I wanted - to which we agreed, the ends of my layers would be curled. I walked out with dead straight hair, which my hair naturally is anyway, so I have no idea how a blowdry could take so long. My hair would have dried naturally that way, although perhaps with not as much volume.
