I have been going to Heading Out (Bourke Street) for several years. I have always had the best service from both the stylists and other support staff which is why I kept returning. New owners have taken over and while it is expected changes are made, I think in this instance, getting rid of some of the existing staff did this business a considerable disservice. The previous reception staff (Grace in particular) ran the salon beautifully and with a very friendly manner. My last two visits with new staff were ok but not to the standard I have come to expect and that is unfortunate. I think the staff work hard and they were courteous but the level of skill and professionalism has most certainly diminished. Additionally, I was dismayed there was no communication regarding the significant staff changes at the salon. Having given this salon two opportunities to determine if I wish to remain a client, I think it is safe to say - I will be looking for a new salon.

Staff are lovely and fantastic at what they do. There has been a lot of staff turnover and the online booking system never seems to keep up, recommend calling them instead.

My haircut is fine but average. It was cut without flair and it felt rushed. I appreciate the balance between scissors and clippers with a men's cut, and I typically prefer less clipper and more blending with scissors - however this appeared to be unavailable this time. I feel that my neck is grazed and it is irritating me as I write this. My stylist was friendly and easy to talk and the salon is clean and convenient. I would prefer to be have been informed in advance that my previous stylist was unavailable on this occasion - I would have modified my booking.

Fabulous customer service, loved my colour and cut. It was my first visit and they really listened to what I wanted. I also was impressed that they gave me a quote before they started to make sure the cost was OK (which it was), I was offered a glass of bubbly and the chairs at the washing basins are massage chairs. I would highly recommend this salon!
