I always enjoy coming to Heading Out on Bourke St, the staff are super nice, the prices are fair and I don’t know how they do it but the colour stays so much better than any other salon I’ve been to. My only issue and reason for giving a lower score is the young woman who washed and dried my hair had big chunky fake nails that just felt awful on my head when she gave me a head massage and when she was drying it and running her fingers through my hair, it was really awful and I thought not wearing fake nails would be a standard thing in hair dressing but maybe not.

My colour consultant, Elaine, was great. Friendly and professional and not too pushy though did offer me additional services - she was great. I then had my colour washed out by someone who didn’t introduce themselves and barely said a word to me - she seemed to be annoyed to be at work, though spoke freely and happily to her colleagues. She blast dried my hair but did not blow dry at all - I had assumed this was included in the service. The appointment started well and ended poorly. This apprentice or whoever she was does not leave your clients feeling special.

I had to wait over 30mins - but appreciated the acknowledgement of my wait and a discount on a hair treatment. My hairdresser was lovely and I cannot fault service once my appointment commenced.

Hi there, the salon is lovely however the music was quite loud when I visited. I felt like I had to strain my voice to be heard. The selection of music was great, but just too loud. Thanks :)

$100 for a men's haircut us to much and I will probably look fir a better value alternative.

Spending $153 on a haircut is a huge deal for someone like me and usually the experience more than makes up for it. Unfortunately last night seemed a bit chaotic, no special massage before going to the basin, noone to wash my hair, I think it was awkward for everyone when Lee had to start it himself. The back of my hair looks fantastic and is exactly what I asked for, the front, I can't tell as there seemed to be a rush to get me out the door at 7pm for the next client.
