When I booked in for an appointment I was asked if I could take an earlier appointment 15 minutes earlier. When I arrived for my appointment I was shown to a chair which had hair all over it, I waited there for 30 minutes. No one informed me about what was going on..... 'previous appointment time running over'... you shouldn't have to ask. My stylist was pleasant apologised for the wait and overall I am definitely happy with my cut. I know my appointment then ran into the next appointment as the stylist kept being informed that someone was waiting for their colour appointment whilst I was having my hair cut which made me hope that they weren't going to rush through it. I guess it was the experience of having to wait there for over half an hour being ignored that affected the whole experience and score above.

Although the staff and the atmosphere was lovely at Heading Out Salon, the actual haircut and colour was appalling. I have never sent in a bad review before, but i felt that this was necessary. My fringe (which was meant to be a long tapered Alexa Chung style fringe) was so uneven and blunt that i had to go home and cut it into a bang, Which is exactly the style i didn't want in the summer months. One side was angle cut at earlobe length, the other side was blunt cut sitting on my cheekbone, it looked ridiculous. The colour, although a lovely colour, was nothing like what i showed the hairstylist, and i walked out of there with grey hairs still on display, and darker hair when i asked for lighter hair. Basically i paid nearly $300.00 for something i didnt ask for, nor like. Pretty unhappy, and wont be heading back.

Ridiculously overpriced I paid nearly $500 and she ruined my hair I had to get it done twice after to try and fix it and its still not perfect. I think their prices are crazy for an 'up market' salon, I'd rather go to someone in the middle of a country town for half the price as clearly they did a better job than here. Extremely dissatisfied.

The girl who attended me was rude and unprofessional. She clearly did not want to be there, which was reflected in the blow dry she performed. I was not impressed..

The colour and cut took three hours. I sat with wet hair for 50 minutes whilst I waited for the haircut. $230 approx. The colour consultation was cursory and sarcastic. Most professional interaction was with the receptionist hence pushing the overall visit to a 5.

Kieran, the hairdresser completely ignored my style wishes, cut my hair 4-5 inches shorter than I had asked, in a completely different style to what I had described - with which I provided several photo examples of what I wanted and what I didn't want. Complete waste of my money and time, this is the second bad and expensive experience I've had at that salon - never again! I left the salon and cried, completely distraught at how short my hair is.
