I had a fantastic experience today at Heading Out . My stylist Mai-Ly cut , coloured and styled my hair today and she did an amazing job . She helped me decided on what colour would best suit me and her cut was thorough and exactly what I wanted . I highflying recommended her personally and the salon as a while . All the staff were very attentive and the salon is very modern and stylish.

I had grown my hair out for 6 months and I would have called it a style, cut and blow dry. Received great advice on how the hair would respond to being cut style-wise before the cut and during. At the end of the cut, I was taken through how to style and maintain the cut with tips on product. The stylist didn’t pressure me into purchasing extras.. when that happens I’m more inclined to support business by doing just that so I bought hair product. What impressed me was there was extra attention to getting the style right, it was a proper scissor cut and it wasn’t rushed. Thanks - a really positive experience

Have been seeing Caterina at Heading out Hair in Fitzroy for many years and love love going there, the salon is very comfortable, amazing service and from many experiences from past hairdressers, she is the only hairdresser that knows her blonds and cuts.

This is the second time Lucia has worked on my hair. Last time I visited, Lucia cut my hair and the other (tall, dark haired) Italian hairdresser coloured my hair. This time, Lucia coloured and cut, but checked in with the other woman regarding the colour last visit. I have been visiting Heading Out (Fitz) for at least 10 years and these two young women are about the best I have experienced. They are professional and caring. They have made my recent trips to HO feel really special. Hang on to them! I also really liked your (new?) receptionist. I liked that she was just slightly older than your usual. She considered my circumstances (broken ankle) and adjusted the environment so my experience would be more pleasant. Sometimes (esp as I have gotten older), I feel a little out of place at HO, but these women together make me feel like I belonged there and had every right to the same experience as one of your younger, perhaps more vibrant customers. I don't know if you've been making conscious decisions to create a certain vibe over the last 6 months or so, but if you have, it's working for me.
