My consultant was late for my appointment - by around 40 minutes. This is the first time this has happened. It didn't matter today as I had no other commitments, but it could have been really inconvenient.

Heading Out is a great salon.It's unpretentious and down to earth.Mai-Ly gave me an excellent cut. She listened to me during the consult and made some great suggestions. I left feeling confident and new. I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended

Great salon and great people. I also can recommend coming on a Sunday when the salon is relaxed and quieter. Minh-Ly did my colour today and is a genuine and sweet person; I recommend booking with her! Best colour, overall service and head massage ever!

I’ve been going to Heading out for over 15 years. Everyone there is truly creative and professional. It’s the only salon I’ve found that I can trust. The director looks over many of the stylists. Everyone comes out looking gorgeous. Throughout the years I’ve seen bridal parties, newcomers and loyal long time clients. Young, old and in between :) I’ve never seen an unhappy person there. I do mostly cut and colour everyone takes their time and I leave looking perfect. I’ve had nails, eyebrows, massages and hair removal. Always a joy to go sit, relax and know you’re in caring hands.

I always come to heading out hair in Fitzroy for all my hair needs! Mai-Ly does my hair and she’s an absolute superstar! I’ve had so many colours over time and she always exceeds my expectations and keeps up with my impulsivity, while maintaining my hair health. Absolute fabulous environment, everyone is so lovely and sometimes you even get to cuddle the salon pups!
