So glad I discovered Heading out .I have been to Bourke Rd , Balwyn and most frequently Fitzroy. The environments are pristine and the staff so welcoming , helpful and friendly. Caterina has been cutting my hair over the 4 years and she always asks my opinion on how I manage the cut which is really important. No point in getting something that I can’t almost do myself . And then Caterina , gives me her ideas and then weaves her magic. I come away looking and feeling a million dollars.which is fantastic at age 63 . Although I get my haircut 6 weekly there have been times ( extended interstate holiday and during the Covid lockdown) where I have gone more than 3 -5 months without a cut and my haircut has held its shape which is fabulous. I get regular compliments regarding my hair cut and color and I have referred others to Heading out ,who are equally as pleased.Although my hair is grey the products that have been recommended to me give it a beautiful glow . Always love my experience at Heading out .

I loved my experience. Jess was lovely, made everything so comfortable and after a stressful couple of weeks it was the first time I felt relaxed. I’ve recommended heading out to my mum, who has already booked in next week.

I've been a client for almost 6 years, now. My first visit was a Sunday walk-in, in 2015. Catherine (Creative Director & Owner), and Clara, former senior stylist, warmly welcomed me. They immediately understood my vision for a new colour and style and proceeded with the process with the utmost care. The outcome was exceptional. To this day, all staff provide service and products of the highest quality. They take their time, pay attention to detail, and will challenge you if your vision is not in keeping with good hair dressing principles or will not achieve your intended outcome. Zoe (senior manager/stylist etc), took over where Klara left off. She understands my hair and does an outstanding job with the support of Chris and other staff. I've tried salons closer to home, but always regret it. If you want expertise, you'll get it here. It will cost a bit, but it's totally worth it in the end.
