As a recent Mum, my time is precious so coming in to have my hair done was a real luxury. All the staff looked after me perfectly. From noticing that my coffee had gone cold and replacing it, to washing my hair an extra time as they knew that rarely happens now I have a new born at home. Klara is a master with the colour and it is beautiful, already receiving many compliments! Thank you!

The service I received was good but the therapist was too full on. I am a student and I love getting my eyebrows tinted and shaped, but the lady kept trying to up sell me products and treatments that I cannot afford. I also found that as soon as the therapist wiped off the tint she said 'oh I'm so happy with that, it looks really good'. This meant that I felt uncomfortable asking for them to be darker, as I was not 100% with the tint. This comment made it hard to say how I truly felt about the job she had done. The assistant also said she would write down on my file that she was my favoured assistant. This would be great if I asked her to do this, but I didn't and i preferred previous therapists that I have had in the past.

The salon is looking tired and dirty. The music is too loud. Old magazines should be scrapped. It isn't a pleasant environment. However, the actual service is good. I was very happy with my colour and blow dry. I paid $45.00 for a treatment which the girl sprayed on, rubbed in for a minute, washed off. I bought the same product in Melbourne for $20.00. The mark up is too high.

Dear Robyn, Thank you for your feed back. We totally agree with you that the Fitzroy salon is looking a little tired. This is why we are having a massive renovation of the Fitzroy salon this year. Also we are sorry that your treatment wasn't performed correctly and to your expectations. Each treatment should me worked through the hair then 5 minute head massage which is followed by a hot towel. We appreciate your feed back and would like to give you a complimentary treatment at your next service.

The service is always very very good but I do find some aspects (eg my treatment) overpriced. $47 is exceptionally expensive for a conditioning treatment in my experience - I usually expect to pay around $20-25. I also find that the stylists are sometimes pushy to purchase new products. While this can be good, it's a fine balance to not make people uncomfortable.

Loved the skill of the stylist; did not love how rough she and the hair washer were. Love the salon, but will book with someone else next time. Please put it on my file that I don't want a head massage again too. Too time consuming and rarely enjoyable - Camille Scholz
