My appointment was made half an hour later (told the day before so this was ok) but the issue was it took 35mins before my hair was washed and about 10-15mins before it was stated to be cut. I also found the hair dresser to be quite abrupt and difficult to talk to, I felt like she ignored me a lot and seemed annoyed/frustrated which I couldn't understand why. I was very nice and didn't make any mention of how long I had been waiting. I felt like I was walking on egg shells. It made the whole hair experience not relaxing.

I received a voucher for mothers day for a package. It included facial, massage, full body exfoliation and wrap, vichy shower and shampoo/dry. I felt my experience was very disjointed, in between all of these treatments i had to get completely redressed to go to the next room, it was a very cold day - an offer of a robe would have been great. The experience felt disorganised as after my massage I was going to be sent to have my hair done prior to my exfoliation and vichy shower until I mentioned this seemed silly. My "full body" exfoliation involved having the front of my legs, arms and chest applied with a scrub. The back of my body was not exfoliated in any way. The voucher described a "personalised wrap" - apparantly that was what was rubbed on my legs and arms?.. The facial and massage were wonderful and Steve did an amazing job an my hair. I don't see myself returning for the whole experience was not great, I actually felt as though Nobody had organised it properly. Disappointed.

Unfortunately I booked for a 75 min facial. By the time I was taken in to the room 15 minutes had already lapsed. Then I waited a further 5 mins on the table for the beauty tech to come back. However the facial finished right on the exact time if I had actually been taken in and started straight away. So I lost about 20 mins worth of facial time. A little disappointed. The therapist was nice. Did not offer any advice for my skin or recommendations.

I was booked in for a facial and a massage last week as a way to unwind and treat myself. The microdermabrasion facial was spectacular, I really enjoyed the end result as well as how informed my beauty therapist was. This particular person has always done an amazing job with every service I get. Following this, I had a half hour massage which was a tad disappointing. As I have chronic back pain, I asked for this massage to be half relaxation and half working with the muscle pain. I was not impressed by the technique used and sadly, was not able to relax as much as I had hoped. I left feeling little difference, as though I had not had a massage. Although I had a wonderful visit to Insignia as I always do, I feel as though I could've saved myself the money and just stuck with the facial.

New to Penrith so decided to try this salon based on good reviews. When I called To book I advised I wanted to discuss a new style and possibly get an expert to advise what would suit me. Unfortunately my experience was not the best as the stylist did not introduce themselves, discussed my basic needs, then started to rush off an mix color. Timer went off, 10 minutes waiting for stylist to come then junior rinsed me off again, waiting about 10 mins before rinsing and then told conditioner would stay on for 2 mins, 15 mins later the junior came back and my neck was very sore. Sat in chair and again waited another 10 mins for stylist to finish another cut that was squeezed in. Whilst they were cutting and styling my hair, another girl was seated and was waiting for my stylist to finish with me - they waited about 20 mins! Basically poor time management and for me I did feel my appointment was personalized and special - the environment felt busy and stressed!
