It is very hard for me to rate this salon because my good experience with it (good and attentive cut and colour) was overshadowed by a very bad surprise at the end. I went on a groupon and was very impressed with the treatment I received. At the end I was charged an additional $120 for a "semi-permanent colour between foils". This was something that I was not asked or informed about. When it was happening (about a 10 minute process after my foils) I tried to ask my colourist what she was doing but she was quite evasive. I finally said "Is it like a toner?" and she answered "Yes". I assumed this was included as I was not asked but if they had charged me for a toner at the end (usually around $20 - $30) I would not have been upset although I do think you should always let the customer know! I was quite shocked but I did pay - partly out of guilt for having gotten such value for my original groupon. It did continue to bother me though as it felt like they intentionally misled me so I called them back the next day and explained what had happened. The woman on the phone was quite sympathetic and told me should would get back to me after figuring out "what they could do". That was 10 days ago. It's a shame because I went looking for a new salon and was pretty convinced I would go back up to that point.
