I made an appointment to get a hair cut and a style for a wedding I was attending. When I made my appointment over the phone I explained to the owner that I have a lot of hair and it's quite long, and that I needed to leave by a certain time that day. On the day of my appointment I decided to arrive 15 min early just in case they could fit me in and start washing my hair. I was seated by one of your staff members that didn't communicate with me, was unfriendly and didn't explain the next step or who was looking after me. After waiting in that chair for 35 min, I asked someone to check for me. The hairdresser looking after me (Darcy) wasn't made aware that I had arrived, which resulted in her asking whether I really needed the cut or would be happy to just have my hair styled. "what is your priority' she asked me. I told her I made an appointment for a cut and style and this is what I would like to have done. She had another hairdresser help me to get everything done in time. She was very friendly and she understood I had to leave by a certain time, which I really appreciated. I showed her a picture of the style I wanted, however it did NOT end up looking anything like it whatsoever. I have had this style done before at a different hair dresser and it looked exactly the way I had envisioned. Darcy however told me my hair texture is very different from the person in the picture, which I understand, but as I have had this hairstyle done in the past, I knew it could have been done this time too. I am no means an expert in hairdressing or styling, but I believe Darcy may have used the wrong tools to style my hair and then used 'hair texture' as an excuse of why it didn't look like the picture. I was overall disappointed with the service from start to finish, the unfriendly hairdresser who 'welcomed' me, left a bad taste in my mouth. Darcy really tried her best and I appreciated the fact she tried to work with my timeframe. After all it wasn't her fault she wasn't made aware of my arrival. Maybe if the first hairdresser had told Darcy I had arrived when I did, Darcy would've had more time to understand my hair texture and had more time to think things through rather than having to rush to meet my timeline. In the past I have been really impressed with your customer service as a whole, I appreciate the little things you do to make your customers feel at home, relaxed and pampered. However this was a very disappointing experience. This review is by no means meant to hurt or offend your staff members, Darcy was a real sweetheart and I'm sure she is great at what she does. However I do not think as the owner of a business you would like to see these situations go unnoticed by your customers. I would rather leave this honest review of my experience on your own platform than complain on the internet for everyone to see.
