I have always liked Miss Gertrude for the environment and because I have always been happy with the service - but this time was a little different as I had been hoping to go for a lighter blond than I had had last time, but when I arrived I was handed a hairbrush and told to brush my hair and when the stylist arrived back she had already mixed up the dye based on what I had had last time without even talking to me about what I wanted this time. Actually it feels even darker than it was last time - perhaps it wasn't left on the hair for as long. I also have a pretty sensitive scalp and I find that people are a little rough especially when washing and putting in toner. I feel that the roughness contributed to a lot more split ends than I had previously - as I am always quite gentle with my hair because it breaks easily. All in all I am happy with the colour for now, but I will go back soon to get more lighter blond foils put in to lighten it. And I'll certainly be clearer about my pain tolerance levels!

Hi, I didn’t want to have to leave this feedback as I really liked my stylist and she’s given me a great cut. On the colour though we agreed to reach something as close as possible to the attached image and what I’ve ended up with is something extremely strawberry and much darker than I thought we were going for. It’s almost a light mauve rather than a very subtle strawberry blonde. I’d be happy to send an image of my colour as it is now for reference but am not happy with it. I know the stylist had the best intentions but I don’t feel she listened and responded appropriately to my request for slight change. Thanks

I had a rose gold balayage done, however my hair basically looks exactly the same, not one person has noticed it looks any different. So I am not really happy with the result, I feel like it was a waste of money. Spend over $200 to look exactly the same.

You need to train all staff members who talk on the phone. I was told price after talking though options of my cut colour would be no more than $270. This is the max price but likely to be less as I've given you the max possible price. I was charge $300 which is not what I was expecting with the excuse that the person on the phone must have been a junior. This feels like obvious lying. I chose this salon as you have prices on your website & seemed to be more up front & honest about costs. I particularly dislike being told one thing & charged something else & im debating if I will return due to this. It may not seem like a large difference in price but everyone has their own budgets & if you can't give out prices on the phone just don't!!

Very pleasant atmosphere - but maybe you could try to reduce unneccessary "walking". It felt as if there were more staff than customers and a lot of walks back and forth. The floor material does not absorb noise well so it feels a bit stressful.
