I always look forward to my visits to Miss Gertrude. The staff are lovely, the space is well set-up, location is excellent, and I always have confidence I'll be smiling post-hair appointment. Highly recommend.

I have been coming to Carmen at Miss G for years and love it. Great venue, all the staff are delightful, beautiful enviro friendly products and I always feel good with a bob with a cool twist. Highly recommend.

I always enjoy having my haircut and coloured at Miss Gertrude . The staff are always friendly and attentive and Carmen cuts my hair really well. I rate this salon very highly.

Another wonderful experience at Miss Gertrude! Jess gave a fantastic cut, as always..My only constructive feedback was the lovely lady who washed my hair/did the treatment didn't have enough product/conditioner in my scalp when doing the scalp massage - it was a little bit painful, but i didn't heave the heart to say anything!!

I've already written a review on Facebook but I'll write another, though more detailed, one here for those who are looking for a hairstylist on mylocalsalon. It is, after all, how I found Miss Gertrude. I have been going to Miss Gertrude to have my hair cut by the wonderful Jess for over a year now. I have very thick, coarse, straight Asian hair that Jess knows how to make light and fabulous. Jess is an excellent communicator; I come in with photos and ideas of the haircut I would like and she describes to me how we can achieve that look, and will suggest any modifications that we can make to better suit my hair texture and face shape if neccessary. I've requested very technical hair cuts, including a pixie with an undercut, a 20s flapper bob - and she's gotten the job done for me. She's very knowledgeable and skilled. The salon itself is very cute. The other staff are friendly and you get a complementary coffee and bikkie during your visit. Speaking as a student who works part-time, this salon is toward the more upscale price-range, however I think it is totally worth it for the service provided. There is also a nifty 10% student discount for people like me. I, and the random ladies in the CBD who compliment me, love my hair. I highly recommend this place.
