I had a voucher close to expiry and as a busy Mum planned a nice relaxing day away from little children. I chose to get a facial, manicure and pedicure. Brooke was really lovely but quite nervous during the initial stages of my treatment. . I found the order of services unusual as I had my manicure and was then taken to a treatment room to get ready for my facial. Getting ready for this caused two nails to be damaged straight away. The treatment room was the one closest to the store front and my facial experience was not at all relaxing. I could hear staff and customers talking, cupboards being roughly closed, and for a Mum who was already feeling guilty about leaving her little ones, the constant sound of s baby crying which made it impossible to relax. I have not been to this business before but I assumed that treatments were given in quiet, serene environments, and not rooms that provided regular reminders that you were indeed in a busy shopping centre. I have not had a face cleaning routine for many years and was also surprised when I was simply told that my current routine seemed to be fine, and perhaps just an eye cream was needed. My husband went two days later and his face was assessed in detail and he was given quite a bit of information as to how he could improve his daily cleansing routine. When these gift vouchers were sold, it also appears that the card was placed on the wrong voucher - my card amount was only for $100 when the voucher said $180 and so I ended up paying the extra for my treatment. When my husband went in for his, his voucher was supposed to be for $100 as written on the voucher but his card value was for $180. This was costly for us as what was meant to be. Treat by a family member became a bit of an expensive visit. I enjoyed having the facial and it was lovely to have my nails done, but having been to spas many times before children, I found this experience to be lacking in the overall ‘relaxation/time out’ department.
