Booked in for a spontaneous facial this afternoon & it was fantastic. Couldn’t fault Lisa who performed my facial. So lovely & relaxing however when trying to relax there was a lot of noise outside the treatment room ie cupboard doors slamming. It literally sounded like someone was restocking & making plenty of noise while doing it. Something to be mindful of when trying to provide a relaxing environment for clients.

When I made appointment I included face waxing also. They rang me day before and asked if I could attend 30 mins earlier as they had to juggle times. I agreed. Today I was told they had to do massage and facial first and then another person would do waxing after. Very disappointed as I feel stupid idea that waxing could not be done first and by same person. I cancelled the waxing as I did not want it done straight after a facial. I agreed to change time to help them but did not expect them to change my wishes in having waxing first. When they ask me to change times to help them do not expect my treatment to be altered. I was very happy with massage and facial but disappointed I could not have waxing done first. Who wants waxing after facial.

Todays visit was a highly unusual one. My regular therapist was away sick, and I had a new young lady complete my treatment. Unfortunately my treatment which normally runs for just over an hour, went for 2 and a half hours (issues with wax pots) and being new to the position. The salon however was amazing and looked after me after the fact, and I would still go there as I understand that the therapists need to learn, and get as much experience as possible. I always provide correct feedback, and I would rather provide constructive criticism then say horrible things about the therapist or the salon. When this therapist is more experienced, and works with her own equipment in her own room, I would happily give her another try

Previously when I have come to Pure Indulgence, the salon beds are made with a sheet & towel over the top of the client so it is kind of like a little snuggly warm bed, however this time, It was just a towel over me & as it didn't cover myself entirely, I was cold through most of the service. It felt less like a luxury spa experience & more like what I would expect from a shopping centre quick massage service (chi link etc) complete with a serviette above the face hole on the massage table which made me feel like the towels/bedding hadn't been changed between services as well as the headband that was used on me was so old & ratty (I found it in the bedding) I was quite disappointed considering I was spending a lot of money & basically felt like it wasn't to the standard I expect from Pure Indulgence.
