I recently visited Pure Indulgence, Carindale (level 1, near Big W) and my experience wasn't the best. Whilst the staff were friendly, they didn't make you feel welcome. You know when you walk in a store and the staff are so awesome and welcoming that it makes you feel happy and comfortable? Yeah, I didn't get that feeling here. I saw a nice young girl for an eyebrow wax. Honestly, she did the quickest eye brow wax in existence. Just 1 strip of wax along the top and bottom of the brow and bam she was done. No plucking, no pencil outline before waxing, nothing. I have a good friend who works at a different pure indulgence store (who is amazing may I add) I told her about my experience and she asked me a series of questions....did she do this? did she do that? My answers were no. She has since told me to make a complaint. If you want a quick wax, with stray hairs left over and wax residue in your brows from a girl who is purely just trying to sell you this "amazing" brow powder for $39 or a series for $185 then by all means, go right ahead and good luck!

My therapist was very rough and not gentle. My face was stinging during the treatment, and the massage was very painful. I specifically asked for Dermalogica to be used during my facial because I am familiar with their products m and know they are quality, however, the facialist used another brand. My skin was still bright red over 2 hours after the treatment. It was not a relaxing environment either - I could hear the other staff members laughing and talking very loudly during my facial. All I could think about the whole time was how uncomfortable and painful the experience was. It’s truly disappointing considering the amount of money you pay these type of treatments. I don’t think I will be returning to pure Indulgence, or if I do, I may request a different staff member

Was left a bit disappointed with my body massage. The therapist skipped through the form I was given at the beginning of the session and didn't ask what areas I was comfortable being massaged (other places are usually more considerate about this). I spoke up about this during the massage but was mostly ignored and left feeling really uncomfortable.

Beautician was kind but quality of wax was very poor. Lots of hairs left behind and problems with the wax during the appointment. The wax was sticking to my skin and would not come off. I have a high pain tolerance but for some people that would have been very painful. Then they tried to up sell me five more appointments in a package. I didn’t even want this wax, I don’t want any more.

Personally my experience was good, started with a one hour massage, one hour facial and then a pedicure Pros - Best massage I’ve had at a beauty salon Face felt good during treatment Therapists were friendly to me Pedicure colour I chose was available Attention to detail in pedicure was good Cons - Attended at roughly the same time as my Mum and sister ( although we couldn’t all get the exact same time we had the same treatment . When we discussed it afterwards we discovered that although we all used the same gift cards for the same services our experience was extremely inconsistent and that is extremely disappointing. To name a few, my Mum and sister had their skin assessed with a machine, I just answered the questions on the form, I had the steam machine used on me and they didn’t, I had a full body massage and they didn’t, My Mum and I had a machine that removed the skin from our feet, my sister didn’t. My Mum was constantly talked in to upselling including even the facial and thankfully I was not. She was also accused of having a fungal infection in her toes cause she apparently goes to CHEAP ASIAN places, that remark alone disgusts me! She’s had those toes for at least 10 years and was told from the doctor and the physio it’s from years of wearing shoes and being on her feet. I was also rushed out after my toes were painted without allowing any time for them to dry Finally my Mum and I were also not told of anything to do or not to do following our treatment. My sister was handed and entire sheet and had it all explained. As I mentioned this is outlining the major inconsistencies as there are so many more that occurred Overall for an experience that cost a total of $1200 for my uncle we are very disappointed, especially for our Mum who was treated very poorly, everyone should have had the same experience and come out feeling good, rather than having to compare

The beautician was lovely but Unfortunately the quality of the finish was disappointing and the nail polish has a very rough finish on each nail. I doubt the nail polish will last a week no top coat was even used on the finish it off. Hopefully just a one off.
