Get my toes done tell the girl I am 38 weeks pregnant still makes me lay down even after saying I would be uncomfortable ask for a pillow for my back says she only has a towel after 15mins I couldn’t deal with the pain in my back any more so ask if the bed sits up and she is like oh yes it does - well why didn’t you do that at the start, still however was not comfortable but dealt with it - she puts nail polish on leaves it for 2 mins and then tells me I am right to go - of course it’s going to come off and yep within 10 mins one toe had - certainly not a pure indulgence experience - the $30 Asian job would have been more comfortable and better

I love pure indulgence- the one upstairs in Carindale shopping centre. I was bitterly disappointed with the one downstairs. I had a booking for an eyelash tint. Normally you are always offered a hand massage or head massage. At this salon it was not offered so I paid $28 to spend approximately 7 minutes lying on the bed and then when the tint was removed they got it in my right eye. The girl was funny and friendly but not terribly good at her job and dare I say lazy. The tint was ok but certainly not the best I have received.

I was given a voucher to treat myself to a 30 minute facial from a fellow mum friend. Unfortunately, what I received was a one hour sales pitch. Not only was I charged for an additional service without disclosure, I was heavily ‘grilled’ on certain aspects of my face that I had not indicated as a concern. I am happy with my freckles but I was constantly told about products and services to even them out, hide them, and slow the onset of more. I explained my face regime and felt immediately judged. For the remainder of my appointment I felt extremely self-conscious and out of my depth. After the appointment in the treatment room I explaining multiple times that I was not looking to purchase anything today, but I was told to get my phone out and take photos so that I could come back. I was then given an additional 10 minutes of up-selling products and service packages out the front of the store. I’m very disappointed that I didn’t get the 30 minute relaxation escape that I had expected.

Really disappointed with my service. Would not book a pedicure again. Can get a the same treatment for $35 and the walk in nail bars. Was really looking forward to an afternoon out with my friends kid free and we all left disappointed.

Initially I felt welcomed and happy to be there as they did offer me an appointment same day. However from when I sat down all I heard was sales pitches and it made me feel uptight and anxious. Walking in 10minutes later then my appointment time, I was asked to sit on a stool in a room far too small for two people. I was then offered three treatments all more expensive then what I had a voucher for and said yes to adding essential oils for an extra $10 purely so I would stop being offered more expensive treatments. During my massage I had asked for firm pressure and it was good and as well as during the treatment (it was nice and firm). Although, maybe it was a different style to what I am use to but it felt like it was pinching motions and no actual massage was done. What was incredibly uncomfortable and hurt was the lack of oil used, to the extent my skin felt like it was being dry pushed around and was quite painful. I appreciate I could have asked for more but was hesitant to incase of more up-selling. When I was told the treatment was done (and before getting up off the bed) was shown products that were apparently used during the treatment and was again, offered to buy them. I felt so uncomfortable as I was still laying there with only a towel to cover me as I was again being sold more products (to which there was a lack of knowledge of the ingredients). The entire experience felt like a sales pitch and I genuinely have never felt more uncomfortable and wanting to get out of there promptly as I could instead of being relaxed which I had hoped to be. I have been to Pure Indulgence's before and had positive experiences so I assume this was a once off however I doubt I will go back to try again.

Not a great experience if you are a regular. They always change staff and you turn up and you get a completely new person. Usually someone with not much experience
