I booked with pure indulgence for a Brazilian wax before and the experience was great so I thought I would book again. I was greeted at the counter and the staff were lovely. The lady conducting my services (I don’t remember her name) lead me back and so far so good. She left the room so I could get ready and when she walked back in this is where things started going down hill. There was no communication during the service to let me know what she was doing or what was happening. Not a big deal as this isn’t my first Brazilian. However, she started to lay the was down and on the pull of the first strip I knew this wasn’t going to be okay. She couldn’t pull the was off of me properly which led her to pull it little at a time and when that wasn’t working she slowly peeled sections of it to get it off. This happened multiple times during the service and I have never had such a painful waxing experience. At one stage she laid was on both opposite sides of the areas and got the wax suck from one side to the other !!! I could feel her trying to seperate it and pull it apart, which was also painful. About halfway through the service after she laid the wax and was waiting for it to dry, she started to wet what I assume was paper towel with cold water and pat down me and the was in attempt to make it harden faster. This has never happened before so I don’t believe this is common practice after more tugging and pulling and slowly peeling we were almost done. She laid down a few more strips and then waited for these to harden and the strips once again started to stick together. This time however she got some sort of tool or scissors (I assume) to cut the pieces off was apart while they were still attached to me. Finally she finished the service and left the room for me to clean up and get dressed. When I tell you, I sat up and felt myself stuck together I was amazed. I looked at the work done and there were patches of hair left everywhere. To make matters worse there were still pieces of wax stuck to the patches of hair that were left that I had to try and pull off myself. It was too much for me at this point and I just dressed and got walked to the front counter. I had planned to pay and not say anything because I didn’t want to cause a scene however I couldn’t pay for the torture I had just been subjected to. The lady at the front counter I spoke to was lovely and very accomodating and offered to take me back and look at it and fix anything however I was in so much pain from what had just happened and so upset I just wanted to leave. I am very grateful that she waived the cost of the wax and I didn’t have to pay. I have a high pain tolerance and this isn’t my first bikini wax so I know what to expect but this was just beyond. I walked to my car and cried. When I got home I told my partner and after showing him, he has seen more was that he then had to get off by cutting off the hair it was attached too because it was too painful to keep ripping it out little at a time. My entire pubis and bikini area were so red and swollen that I didn’t notice the extent of the damage until the next day when the redness and swelling when down. There are small sections where there is skin missing. This is shocking that someone is allowed to perform this kind of service when it appears they don’t know what they are doing and I would hate for this person to do it to anyone else, which is my main reason for leaving this review. I don’t want anyone else to be subjected to this experience.

I was extremely disappointed with the facial I booked in and the pedicure. The treatment was cut short on time and done in 1 hr 20 minutes. The facial did not incorporate all the aspects as advertised e.g I did not receive the scalp massage, and no oil during the very quick hot stone massage, and the facial just seemed to include the very basics. Compared to my daughter who had the same facial at the same time, she loved her treatment, and obviously got what was advertised in the promo. The pedicure was the worst I have ever had, and I would have to say I've had better pedicures at cheaper prices and in 3rd world countries. I have never ever had a pedicure with no foot rub or moisturiser. i left with my feet feeling dry and scratchy, certainly not what ones feet should feel like after a pedicure. even after telling the therapist I was really looking forward to a good pedicure and a foot massage. Very disappointed for Pure Indulgence standards and the fact that I took time off work for what should have been a relaxing and pampering experience. I have been a client at this salon for a while and have had excellent therapists in the past, Leyla, Lucy ans Shara Mae. Today was definitely a bad wxperience with an inexperienced therapist.

I have just had a terrible experience in Garden city today with rude staff. Changed the menu I booked because it’s different from what I usually do, and told me that because they thought I made a mistake without confirming with me first. Water dripped on the back of my neck from my face. I had to ask for a towel to wipe it, but the lady just put the towel on my neck and kept quiet the whole time, with no answer and no apologies. After the treatment, I didn't purchase the product she recommended, she gave me an annoyed look and was rude to me during the entire transaction.

I have contacted the salon with a complaint and sent photos of issue. Not good enough response from Store manager to be honest unfortunately.

I've had many micros done before but never in such a short time, my face doesn't feel soft and moisturised like it normally does after a facial. I usually feel glowing for sever days but not with this facial

I did not receive the facial or experience I asked for. I asked the lady to have black heads removed and my face deep cleaned. I paid $115 for a service I didn't get or wanted. I wanted a facial not my face, chest, back and feet rubbed and a few little face washes. Massive rip off not happy at all.
