Had my Signature pedicure (a xmas present) appointment booked for 6/3/19 but store rang and told my husband there had been a fire in the store and I would receive a courtesy call later in the week. I rang them back to find out more and they said that the builders were in and hopefully they would be up and running soon. They would be ringing me again on Friday to give me an update. That call never came, so I rang, I think on Sat. or Suunday. Was told 3 rooms were ready, so booked the pedicure, but upgraded to the Luxury hot oil pedicure for 3.20pm on the 12/3/19. Was greeted by the girl on reception and was asked to take a seat. After waiting 20 minutes, the girl went out the back and came back and apologised and said my girl would be ready for me shortly, which she was. I was treated well by the assistant. The lights were dimmed, music played quietly in the background. I had the drill exfoliation, refreshing foot bath, salt scrub, relaxing hot oil massage and the polish applied. I was not asked if I needed my toenails cut/shaped and no cuticle work was done and it definitely needed doing. I said to the assistant at the end I was surprised she could see to apply the nail polish in that light, even though she had turned it up a bit. Assistant put on my sandals for me, I paid and left the store. When going down the escalator, outside store, felt one sandal was loose and not done up properly so sat on a seat at the base on the escalator and did it up. It was then I noticed how sloppy the polish was applied. One nail on my left foot was only partially applied with polish and on the right foot there was polish on my skin beside the toenails. Also there was dirt down the side of my big nails. Seeing as I leave for a month's holiday on Friday, thought it was not acceptable, so went back to the store. Showed girl behind counter my nails, so she said if I could stay another 20 minutes, the assistant would reapply the polish, which she did. Staff were apologetic. Nails were okay upon leaving second time although the dirty look still was down each side of the big toe nail. I'm sure a brush would have removed it at the foot bath stage. Even though I felt special at the start of the visit, certainly did not feel that way at the end. Did not think the experience was worth $89.00. The "Asian pedicure/manicure shops" give a better service when doing a pedicure. I have had facials at Pure Indulgence in the past and have had no problems, but this is the first pedicure I have had there.
