The actual experience while there was not the issue, the problem was the polish did not dry, it was still tacky when I went to bed and the next morning while it felt dry after wearing my joggers for my morning walk once removing my socks it had taken some of the polish off,

The consultant was fabulous - a very beautiful treatment. Just a little disappointed with the attention to detail as far as payments were concerned as I had arranged the treatment as a birthday present for a friend at the same time and although I told the receptionist at the time we arrived that I was to pay for the extras, she charged my friend as she was at the counter first.

I did notice when I told the therapist that I would not be purchasing any skin care products (I only booked in for a brow wax) her demeanour changed and she was not quite as friendly anymore. I understand it is part of the therapists' job to try and sell each client retail but it should not be expected that every single customer can/ will be upsold. I also noticed that the cleanliness and presentation of the treatment room was not up to the same standard as previous visits I have had to the North Lakes salon. There were tint stains on the cabinetry, the floor needed a good vacuum, the towels on the bed looked old and were threading and the fake flower sitting on the bench would have been better off not being there it was in such poor shape.

I have been going to Pure Indulgence at North Lakes for a few years now and normally the beauty treatment is 100% flawless and the girls usually have quite attention to detail. Unfortunately the girl I normally see transferred to another store and I had a new girl Kate today (Irish girl, apologies if I got her name wrong). I didn't realise at the time, however when I got home I was left feeling disappointed. I got a Brazilian, lip wax and eye brow wax. My eye brow wax was pretty good however I am disappointed with my lip and Brazilian waxing. In regards to my lip waxing, there was still hairs left on my lip (normally nearly all gone) and the girls will tweeze any hairs left by the waxing. Its usually really smooth and nice however this time, there was still quite a few hairs there (at least 50%). I ended up trying to tweeze some of the hairs out myself however there is way too many. In regards to my Brazilian waxing, there was still some little hairs left there un-tweezed, however mainly on my 'flap bit', there was no waxing or tweezing done, thus I was left with all these hairs in my 'flap area'. Normally the girls, wax and tweeze that area so its flawless. I spent about 30 mins trying to tweeze all these hairs out of this area and was quite annoyed to be honest. I normally always expect and get a flawless treatment however I'm feeling quite disappointed after this treatment. Don't get me wrong, Kate was very lovely and had great customer service, however I feel Kate needs a bit more attention to detail and to ensure all hairs have been taken out and none are left behind. I'm not normally a person to complain however I believe this needs to be noted for future reference. I've spent hundreds of dollars at Pure Indulgence and hope that my next treatment will be discounted due to this disappointing treatment today.

Hello, My Ratings for environment is simply because for a massage I do prefer a warmer environment – although I know this is hard in shopping centres. I cannot fault the massage experience or the service from all staff. However the rating for experience and recommendation is lower because I really don't like having a relaxing treatment followed by a sales pitch. And it happens every time I have been to a Pure Indulgence Store in Brisbane North Lakes, Chermside or CBD. When I treat myself to spa/beauty treatments it really is a TREAT that typically stretches my budget or is gifted to me. It's a very awkward experience to have to bat away sales offers/discounts/deals to end a treatment which should leave me feeling relaxed, happy and keen to do it more often. I understand that you can make more money this way and in fact the first massage I had (a Gift) was so good that I did purchase the 3 pack at the end because I did feel great. However, I left the store cursing myself for adding more items to my credit card on a whim just because I was feeling good. Yesterday I returned for my 2nd of the 3 massages and was AGAIN offered the 3 pack and some soothing gel (straight after the massage and then at the front of the store). It is this experience which has left me not wanting to go for my 3rd massage because I know it will end with feeling embarrassed at saying no to further offers before I leave. And I actually feel humiliated saying "no", or "I'm sorry I can't afford it today" in front of store around other customers. Therefore I will not recommend Pure Indulgence to friends and family who I know find this sales pitch awkward too. And I would not buy Pure Indulgence as a gift so that the person I gift an experience to is not put in this situation. This is a shame as your staff, products and environment is great. I leave feeling that everyone is more concerned about making commission or a sales target rather than leaving Clients raving about the "experience itself and asking for information about the products. which were used."

Overall my first ever facial was relaxing. It would have been nice if the therapist had said something positive about my skin instead of just mentioning the small details that needed some attention!. It would also have been a better experience if she had checked exactly what treatment my voucher entitled me to before launching into an explanation about a treatment that wasn't included and would have cost an extra $40 should I had chosen to have. Massage was excellent but wish it hadn't included my hair which I had just washed etc as I was meeting a friend for lunch! Perhaps I will have another facial one day
