I have been happy with Pure Indulgence services and rate my experience high. Not this time - it was disappointing - I had eyebrow wax and colour ($37). I was there about 15 minutes (not 30 minutes as advertised). Usually I get nice massage on the eyebrows, get recommended products and specials. This time it was tint and wax - painful and no soothing massage. Colour on my brows is too dark and shape not good. Unfortunately the lighting in the premises was not good so didn't see the real colour until I got home. I am not sure if I will risk of going back to Mothers Day special. I would expect same level of service each time (no short cuts like it was done with my experience today). Not sure if I come back.

My therapist appeared to have no enthusiasm for the task, had no advice, slapped on the products without any delicacy, got cleaner and exfoliant in my mouth and eyes, and left my skin dry with out any product (post exfoliation) during the lip shoulder massage for about 10 mins- my skin felt like it was about to crack. It was actually so bad it was amusing, but it won’t tempt me back again! Not sure if she was new or just having a bad day!

I had an appointment Thursday afternoon for a signage pedi + mani cost $128. I brought my own non-toxic vegan polishes - base coat, colour and top coat. The therapist advised that in the 1.5hours allocated, there would not be time to use base coats. During the pedi the therapist used a disk sander. I have 2 cuts and burns on my feet. The therapist did only made a small trim of one cuticle on my feet. At the conclusion of the pedi, the therapist said there wasn’t time to paint my nails, then said she would as there was a gap to the next booking. She took off my old polish and painted my nails. I was shocked as I’d assumed I’d at least get the manicure I paid for. The paint job is terrible and I went to another salon and had them redone. I didn’t complain, as it was my birthday and my husband was taking me to an elegant dinner and I fid not want the drama. Extremely disappointed.

I came into use one of my winter facials prior to my birthday in two days. I was hoping to feel relaxed and rejuvenated but left feeling like I'd wasted my time and an expensive treatment. I don't like complaining and like to feel grateful at all times but sadly not this time. I will go back to pure indulgence I'll just be mindful as to who I get a treatment with next time.

I had a full body massage. Upon arrival to the salon, I was asked to complete a small questionnaire about the sort of massage experience I was after - e.g. gentle, medium or hard and what area to target, etc. I indicated that I would like a medium to hard massage. I told the therapist that I would really prefer a hard massage targeting my upper back to relieve tension. She told me that she wouldn't be able to do a very hard massage as she had been to the gym the day before and had sore arms. I found this to be quite unprofessional - I too go to the gym and am sore after, but it is not an excuse I have used for sub-par performance at work. My treatment felt more like a back rub than a massage so it was pretty disappointing paying $105 for this service. To be fair, the leg and foot massage was quite good. However, a head massage directly followed the foot massage without a hand wash in-between which was a little off-putting. I have had full body massages previously at other salons that have been much better experiences than this. I looked forward to this massage for a while and sadly it was quite underwhelming.
