I purchased a package of 3 Dermapen treatments on a promotion for $507. I had the first treatment and managed to withstand the pressure of the obligatory ‘product upsell’, but was given 3 samples of 3mL Dermalogica rapid peel exfoliant to use between treatments. When I presented for my second treatment, I was given the third degree about what skin care I was using. When they found out I was not using what they deemed to be ‘professional skin care’ I was told in no uncertain terms that they would not proceed with the remaining treatment which I had already paid for unless I agreed to spend another $280 on Dermalogica products. If this is a non-negotiable condition of treatment, then the price of the skin care should be built into the package price, ie, it should be sold as a $787 package which includes $280 worth of product. That way, I could have made a more informed choice about whether or not I could have afforded the treatment. Unwilling as I was to be manipulated, and outraged at having been deceived, I opted to have the unused portion of the package refunded, which they gave me, but only after I returned the 6mL of unused sample product to them. False advertising and extortion at its finest.

I’d like to thank Maddi for the treatment and making my skin fell luxurious after having microdermabrasion done in the salon yesterday afternoon. I left the salon feeling renewed and fresh with amazing advice on what products I should continue using along with some samples! Will definitely be going back to Maddi at the Toowoomba salon frequently! Her work is very professional with outstanding results.
