Hello, My first experience, although a good one, lacked the polish of professional salons that I have visited in the past, with the same price range. When I arrived I was asked to take a seat, which I was grateful for. As I filled in the application form, time was ticking and I wish I had been given the option to fill in the form online the night before (if such a service exists). As I met my beauty therapist and went into the room, I noticed the noise from the shopping centre was mostly drowned out by the glass doors, so that was a relief. I did however notice noise during my treatment and this would have to be the thing that stuck with me and would deter me from recommending this salon to family and friends - and this was the fact that I found the other beauticians in the salon too noisy. Whether they came in or out the doors, conversed with each other, had their meals in break time or walked up and down the corridor - I found it to be very noisy for such an environment that lends itself towards peace and tranquillity. My therapist was quite young and when I asked her about the treatments, what the product was, what the product did and the benefits of using the product, I was disappointed by her inability to explain the products to me; despite the recent training she told me about. The limited vocabulary used to describe the cleanse, scrub and mask indicated that each of the products did the same thing and had the same result. Having experienced many salon facials before, I was not used to this and was disappointed as a result. A foot massage was also included in the facial package and I was also disappointed by the therapists lack of understanding of the muscles of the feet, pressure points and energy flow that can be manipulated in even a short period of time. Also, I would have liked a mirror by the door to check my appearance before leaving the beauty room. When I left, I was grateful for the glass of water and felt a lot better for it. Upon leaving, I was asked if there was any product that I would be interested in. I declined and was grateful that I wasn't pushed to purchase. Having said that, I also work in a job where adding value to a customers' experience is crucial. While I was getting dressed, I felt that the therapist could have pulled up to 3 items off the shelf that she would recommend for my skin in particular and if a therapist is really good at add on sales, she'll stand there and tell me exactly why I need it and what the benefits would be if I started using this product. I felt my therapist that day missed an opportunity. My sale was processed and I left feeling refreshed and hydrated. Overall a pleasant experience.
