I used to hate getting my haircut as I always found salons to be noisy, hot and overwhelming. Bec&Smith is a really welcoming and relaxing environment. Even when they're busy, they set you up comfortably with a tea/glass of wine, plenty of magazines and easy listening background music so the wait is enjoyable. It's a small salon but never feels too crowded. Orla is fantastic. She listens to what you want, checks in while she's cutting your hair to ensure you're happy and gives advice based on her experience on what she thinks would be best for you. In other salons I've been passed around 3 different people to wash my hair, then cut my hair, then blow dry, which makes me feel like I'm being pushed down a production line. The experience at Bec&Smith is a lot more personal - one person looks after you and completes the full service, which I really appreciate.
