I love coming here and having a small baby it's a little bit of me time away so I look forward to the relaxing part - massage and hot towel etc, but i do find sometimes it depends on the person you get that you sometimes get it and sometimes not at all. It seems that if there is a rush or someone is busy, the process seems different every time. I think for the money it costs would be good to know what you're going to get the same standard of service every time. I also find it a bit confusing that sometimes I get charged more than other visits. I have had the same thing cost $30 less before. I am not sure if toner gets added to the process during the colouring and then it's charged to me without knowing?

Overall a very pleasant experience. I would have liked a bit more pressure on my head massage during my shampoo (did request this at the time but no no avail) and the hairdresser cut my hair about half an inch to an inch shorter than I requested but overall I can’t complain. I like my hair quite a bit now that I have got used to the length and I’ve had several compliments!!

George, as usual is amazing. I love my cut plus he has the people skills that need to be present at a salon of this price point. I can’t say the same for my colourist Jonette. While the colour is great and she did guide me accurately, I feel that her conversational skills and personality are not on point when you are paying upwards of $250 for a colour. I found her to be pushy with sales and disinterested in any conversation that wasn’t lead by her. It may seem petty but I did spend 3+ hours and $350ish dollars and like I said, at this price point everything needs to work and be perfect and my experience wasn’t.

Because Nat and Mark hve aold the business it remains to be seen s to whether it will be as good in future. I went there becasue Nat was the best. End of an era.

One of the things I love most about getting a haircut is getting my hair washed and my scalp massaged. I have previously found that other stylists at Rhubarb take their time doing this and it is a nice, relaxing part of the process. However my current stylist doesn't really do a scalp massage at all, so it's a more abrupt, less relaxing experience.
