Unfortunately the experience this time was not as good as the previous time. For an eyelash and eyebrow tint I would have thought any employee could manage that but no. There was no skin protection applies and I figured that the therapist was extra careful and skilled. I didn’t notice in the mirror when shown and wondered why people were looking at me strange in the street. When I got in the car I could t believe the amount of colour stain I had around my eyebrows. I had to come home and use alcohol wipes to remove it. Fortunately some of it came off and I now don’t look hideous.

The experience felt a little bit impersonal. There was little communication so I was left feeling a little confused. My shoulder and neck were quite sore after. Overall it was a good experience I just think there could have been some improvements.

Definitely not a place to go when you’re pregnant, the air conditioning was on and the room was colder than outside the room. There wasn’t a hole in the bed for my belly, and the cushion with the dent for my belly wasn’t enough, we had to add towels around it and even then I started getting acid reflex because there was too much pressure on my belly. I also don’t think the therapist had experience to give massages to women who are pregnant, too much pressure on the lower back. Overall I would not recommend this place to someone that is pregnant. I’m only 24 weeks.

The rooms are set out nicely. I had booked a 60 minute relaxation massage but unfortunately it wasn’t very relaxing it felt more like a remedial which is not what I was after. I had to mention a few times that the pressure was too much or I was uncomfortable or things where hurting however the pressure didn’t seem to change. I’m now rather sore following my massage. My first experience at Savoy was lovely so was a little disappointed the second time around. It all just seemed to be focused on pressure points unlike my first which was nice long gentle massaging over the whole body. I was asked if there were any areas that I would like them to work on and I mention neck and shoulders but then the rest of my body seemed to be neglected. My first was a beautiful all over body relaxation which still had some focus on the problem areas. After the first few times of mention the pressure/discomfort it made me feel a little uncomfortable so just waited for it to be over.

When I arrived at the Day Spa I was excited as my husband had organised this special experience for me. There were two female staff members just sitting behind the counter. They weren't rude but I wouldn't say they were friendly or welcoming. I was given a towel, slippers and gown. I went into the change room to change and use the toilet. There were only two toilets and one was extremely dirty where a person had used and not cleaned, flushed or used the toilet brush. It was so disgusting. As I was leaving the change room I noticed a customer had gone to use that toilet, saw the state and began to clean it! I then went into the pool area. One of the two spas had a hand written sign that said 32 degrees. It was freezing. I told a staff member and she said she would pass it on. I went into the other spa and was warned by another lady in the spa to watch around the wall of the spa as there was all scum along the walls. I then also noticed that there was dirty scum floating on the water too - gross! I left to go and have my treatment and I heard another lady complaining about the spa temperature, that it was freezing and the employee told her quite bluntly that there was nothing she could do about it as the temperature gauge wasn't working! As you can imagine the customer was not impressed! Although my pool/baths experience was not very good my treatment was lovely. Tiffany was fantastic and I had the most lovely scrub, massage and facial.

The whole place could do with more frequent cleaning. The bathroom is too dark and not enough space to clean. The massage was amazing.
