Unico Hair salon is the brainchild of  Sofia Basile. Established nearly 30 years ago in the bustling Degraves Street in Melbourne. We specialise in unique style haircuts for men and woman, and are specialized colour experts. Melbourne made vegan products and we offer refilling.

For your convenience our Fitzroy Salon is open Weekends. Surcharge applies on weekend bookings.

The most friendly and talented staff - my hair (full head foils) has never looked as good! Everyone else leaving the salon also left looking gorgeous.

there's a draught coming under the front door (I could see a big gap when I was lying at the sink!) I suggest you get a draught extruder attached to the door -more comfortable for customers and will reduce your power bills

Sofia was great. I’ve been going to the same stylist for 7 years and was a bit skeptical of going somewhere else. Sofia did amazing and I received several compliments on my hair throughout the day. I would definitely go back!

It has been hard to find someone who can cut my son's hair really well...that it isn't too short or left too long, that it suits his face, etc. He is 15 and sensitive about it, but the cuts he has gotten at Unico have been so good. He has thick and curly/wavy hair like me, so they know about all hair types. Also cheaper than most, plus, it's next door to the BEST French restaurant in the inner north, so get a style/cut and have some amazing food afterwards. Highly recommend!
