This was my first time using this salon. The receptionist was great and got me a cancelled appointment at short notice for a badly needed cut. I have fine, long hair, which is unfortunately thinning further due to a combination of stress and recently prescribed medication. The stylist took all that in her stride and was very careful to ask me diplomatically phrased questions that enabled her to prioritise what was most important to me in my restyle. There’s nothing more mortifying than having someone half your age bellow at you ‘No we can’t cut layers there, you don’t have enough hair’, especially when you consider how much you’re paying for that privilege! No such worries here, the thoughtfulness in the consultation was much appreciated and the scissor skills backed it up. The cut is considerate of my hair type and face shape and how much time I have to care for it (zero). I left with the styling products, which were highly effective, and a number of useful tips to style at speed without further hair loss, and a brochure on some specialist products to help with regrowth. Most importantly, I am loving myself sick in my ‘do’, which has been missing for a while. And half the price of the salon that couldn’t cut my hair in this style ‘because I don’t have enough hair’. Already made my next appointment, which says it all really.
