I really loved the whole experience and will no doubt go back, however, as a registered nurse, my only concern was that the technician was not provided with Personal Protective Equipment, such as mask or goggles/face screen. I am sure the products used are harmless via inhalation when exposure is low, but as an oncology/chemo nurse and having also worked with many people with motor neurone disease, I am well aware that inhalation of chemicals poses the highest threat level of absorption. I expect the salon is run to Australian and pharmaceutical standards, and so no doubt the risk has been thoroughly assessed, but was surprised to see someone working with a spray chemical with no protection.
